As a long time fan of both Michael Jackson the artist and Michael Jackson the person, I was devastated when I first heard the news of his passing.

It has been an emotional first few weeks since then.

I attended Stevie Wonder's three hour show at the Montréal Jazz Festival, and there was a lot he had to say about Michael as well as many musical tributes on Stevie's part.

By the end of the show, everyone was dancing along to Michael's music in the pouring rain.

And for a moment, we were all brothers.

For that is all Michael has ever wanted. To bring us together. For all of us on this earth to love each other.

This piece is a tribute to him.

In a shiny jacket, sequins, and a fedora, I was photographed tipping my hat to the King.

I uploaded the photograph to Paint Shop Pro and worked on it there, finally adding my signature and the text.

I didn't create any of the fonts I used, they were surely downloaded from dafont.com a long time ago, as that is where I normally get my fonts.
